About Jack Nourafshan
Jack Nourafshan is a real estate development professional and entrepreneur in Los Angeles, California. He brings over 30 years of professional experience, making him a leader in the industry. Jack built his own private company, called Reliable Properties, from the ground up, and now helps run the business with his partners. Reliable Properties has many years of experience with repositioning and renovating large-scale real estate properties. Jack’s education and professional background has been instrumental in his success.
Jack Nourafshan takes charity very seriously, both in his personal and professional life. He has many causes that are close to his heart and he feels very strongly in giving back to the community. He has worked with a lot of organizations and hosted many charity events over the years.
Before entering the world of commercial real estate, Jack Nourafshan pursued his engineering degree from the University of Minnesota, followed by a degree in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He then went on to receive a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California before starting Reliable Properties. Throughout the years, several institutions have made an impact on Jack’s life, and he is glad to be in a position to give back as well as support the next generation of industry leaders.
Jack Nourafshan is especially fond of his alma maters, the University of Southern California and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo because they both run exceptional engineering programs, just like the University of Wisconsin, another institution he endorses. In addition, he supports the University of Texas in Austin because of its great economics and accounting programs, as well as New York University for their hospitality school and Hillsdale College for their incredible political science department.
Jack Nourafshan is very passionate about health and wellness, which has led his interest in healthcare. Cedar Sinai, a non-profit hospital, gets his support for everything they do to improve the healthcare of the community. He donates to the Prostate Cancer Foundation because of all their groundbreaking research to fight one of the top male cancers in the world. He supports the Mayo Clinic for taking measures to help fund cancer research as well as the department of Research for Rare Diseases at UConn, a joint venture between Alexion Pharmaceuticals and the University of Connecticut. Jack is also a firm believer in supporting and caring for the elder generation and thus, dedicates his time to various organizations. The American Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (AAHSA) works to take better care of seniors nationwide, and the California Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing focuses on taking care of seniors. Both of these organizations share his values.
Another business Jack Nourafshan endorses is the International Council of Shopping Centers, because it is the largest conference of commercial real estate industry leaders, and the Hispanic Council of Shopping Centers, for promoting a more meaningful shopping experience in Hispanic neighborhoods. Responsibility and accountability are very important to Jack, which is why he contributes to the Urban Land Institute for promoting the responsible development of projects, and the Pacific Coast Builders Council for promoting responsible construction methods. The California Redevelopment Association promoted the renovation of dilapidated and rundown neighborhoods throughout the state, which ties in perfectly with Jack’s own business model for upgrading communities.
